A woman police constable and her male counterpart of a city police station have been booked in connection with the assault of a woman constable’s husband, an army man. Police said that the military man, who had come home on holiday, suspected that his wife had developed intimacy with the constable as he had seen many calls from him on his wife’s mobile. Irked over the issue, the man had reportedly scolded him over phone. However, the constable came to his home and attacked him with a beer bottle on Saturday late night. The army man has been admitted to the Government Rajaji Hospital with head injuries. Subramaniapuram police have booked cases on both the police personnel on an assault charge.
