Commissioner to meet public

January 11, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:49 am IST - MADURAI:

Corporation Commissioner C. Kathiravan will meet residents only on two days in a week — Monday and Friday — every week to hear their grievances, complaints and petitions.

They can meet him between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. on these two days in his office if their grievances already submitted to Corporation officials were not attended to, according to a press release here on Saturday.

The Corporation earmarked every Wednesday for the civic body staff to meet the people of all wards and receive their complaints at respective zone offices.

If there is no reply from the Corporation side or if no action was taken, those people can meet the Commissioner and submit their grievances either on Monday or Friday every week.

Since the Commissioner has been conducting spot inspections at various places across and also holding review meetings with the officials concerned regularly to monitor the progress of civic works, the public have been advised to avoid meeting the Commissioner on other days and instead approach him only on Mondays and Fridays.
