Awareness programme on drug abuse

The NSS and NCC units of Saraswathi Narayanan College conducted a rally to highlight the adverse effects of drugs. M. Kannan, principal of the college presided over the event. Joseph Thanraj, Inspector of Police of the Madurai International Airport was the chief guest at the event. In his speech, he highlighted the ill effects of drug usage.

Debate on water crisis

ZEAL, Bachelors in Business Administration association, of the Subbulakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, organised a debate on ‘Management on water scarcity’ on June 22. Students spoke about the issues related to water scarcity and suggested feasible solutions. They also discussed the role of government and public in the issue.

Workshop on online exams

N. M. S. Sermathai Vasan College for Women conducted a workshop on ways to successfully accomplish online exams on June 28. N. Thilagavathi, CEO, Oxfaa(Boomi groups) and Sharmila, BDO, Oxfaa, were the chief guests for the event. She motivated the students to attend online mock exams and elaborated on how to prepare for online exams.

Alumni sponsor chairs for students

Alumni of the 1995-1998 batch of Al-Ameen Higher Secondary School met and sponsored chairs for the students. Mohamed Idris, correspondent, chaired the alumni meet. Senthil, Karthik, Vadivel Murugan and Manikumaran, alumni of the school, encouraged the students to work hard. Vice-principal, Rahmathullah thanked the alumni on behalf of the students. Jahir Hussain, Tamilkumaran, Shanmugasundaram and other teachers were present during the event.
