Call to make better use of Centre’s MSME initiative

Entrepreneurs should fully utilise the Union government’s outreach initiative for micro, small and medium enterprises launched on Friday, Agriculture Minister R. Doraikkannu said here.

“Thanjavur is one of the 80 districts where the initiative is launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi through video conference from New Delhi today. The initiative aims to provide small and medium enterprises easier access to credit, markets and other services.

Thanjavur is famous for handicrafts such as art plates, veenas, paintings and other small industries. Entrepreneurs should fully make use of the initiative,” Mr. Doraikkannu said.

Officials said that the initiative would be implemented on a mission mode over a period of 100 days.

Suresh Angadi, K. Parasuraman and R.K.Bharathi Mohan, MPs; Anita Praveen, Additional Secretary, Department of Posts; B.A.R. Patro, General Manager, Indian Overseas Bank, Coimbatore; A. Annadurai, Collector, and other officials were present.
