Southern Railway will augment each of the three pairs of Madurai-Sengottah-Madurai passenger trains with an additional general second class coach as a permanent measure. The first service with additional coach on the Madurai-Sengottah passenger trains (Train No. 56731, 56734 and 56735) would commence from Madurai on February 8, a statement said.
The first service with additional coach on the Sengottah-Madurai passenger trains (Train No. 56732, 56733 and 56736) would commence from Sengottah on February 9.
AC coach
Southern Railway will augment train no. 12633/12634 Chennai Egmore-Kanniyakumari- Chennai Egmore Express with one AC 2- tier coach on a permanent basis. The first service would commence from Chennai Egmore on February 10 and from Kanniyakumari on February 11.
