A/C buses flagged off

Minister for Forests Dindigul C. Srinivasan flagged off two air-conditioned buses from Kamarajar Bus Stand here on Thursday.

The AC buses will ply from Palani bus stand to Tiruchi via Oddanchatram and Dindigul. “It will benefit tourists and pilgrims travelling to the hill shrine of Palani. More bus services have been introduced to various parts of the district,” he said and added that the Dindigul zone had so far been sanctioned 109 new buses at a cost of ₹ 27.25 crores.

He also thanked the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Minister for sanctioning a medical college and hospital to Dindigul.

District Revenue Officer P. Velu, district central cooperative bank president V. Marutharaj, deputy managers (TNSTC) Anandan and Ganesan were present.
