: Anticipating violence in the district as Supreme Court’s verdict on the disproportionate assets case against Sasikala and others was to be pronounced on Tuesday, the police arrested 21 anti-socials in the district as a preventive measure.
As the police expected organised violence in the district following the court verdict, police personnel were deployed at vulnerable areas since Monday evening.
While patrolling was intensified along the important thoroughfares, crackdown by law-enforcers led to the arrest of 21 anti-social elements in the district.
