Madurai Kamaraj University professor selected for award

N. Mathivanan, Professor and Director of University Science Instrumentation Centre, Madurai Kamaraj University, has been selected for the award of Shri P.K.Das Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award-2012.

The award is given by Nehru Group of Institutions at Coimbatore to heads of departments, directors, deans and above that level in universities who have been working to improve quality of education. This award which carries Rs.25,000 cash award, a memento and certificate of eminence will be presented to him in Coimbatore on December 15.

K. Pitchumani, Registrar in-charge, said in a press release that the Nehru Group of Institutions had been honouring the teaching fraternity for its accomplishments in the past four years.
