Ten of the 12 persons summoned to appear before the Aruna Jagadeesan Commission probing the police firing during anti-Sterlite protest in the city made their deposition on Thursday and Friday.

After affidavits were submitted to the Commission by the injured, those who witnessed the violence and the firing, journalists and others, six of them appeared before Justice Aruna Jagadeesan on Thursday.

Muthukumar, Maria Selvi and Clinton, all injured in the incident, and Vinitha, mother of Snowlin, who was killed in police firing, appeared before the Commission on Friday. Since Mr. Muthukumar has suffered a bullet injury on the leg, he was brought in a stretcher.

The next deposition would be held in August-end, sources in the Commission said.
