The Ernakulam North police arrested a Koilandi native on the charge of breaking into a computer training centre at Kaloor and making away with eight computers, a printer, laptop, and an idol. Sudhi, 39, who was arrested on Thursday, was earlier employed at the centre. He broke open the rear door and decamped with the items, pretending to be an online food delivery executive.

Two held

The Ernakulam North police arrested Samad, 45, on the charge of conspiring with his friend Migdad, 39, both from Malappuram, to defraud an Assam native who had won a government lottery. He was employed at a hotel in Ettumanur. Migdad, who used to supply food at the hotel, took the ticket, offering to help him obtain the money. He then allegedly conspired with Samad and opened a joint bank account to swindle him out of the amount. They also went into hiding.
