Two women held for extortion

The Perumbavoor police have arrested two women for alleged blackmailing and extortion of money from the son of a Ernakulam-based businessman.

The arrested are Shalin and Seema, residents of Pariyaram, Thrissur.

The police said the duo had extorted ₹49 lakh from Biju Karnan.
