The City Traffic Police are planning to bring in diversions in traffic along Ernakulam North Overbridge with effect from Thursday, with the demolition of the side-bay on the northern side set to start. The diversions will be in force between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Autorickshaws, two wheelers and goods vehicles will not be allowed to use the overbridge towards both sides.

Service buses and cars going out of the city towards Kaloor-Edapally side have been given three options. First, they could take Mathai Manjooran Road from High Court Junction or turn left from Kacheripadi to take Chittoor Road-Ayyappankavu to reach Pachalam railway gate and take Pachalam-Pottakuzhy Road to reach Pottakuzhy and turn left for Edappally or right for Kaloor.

Vehicles from M.G. Road can take Veekshanam Road to enter Chittoor Road and reach Pullepedy Junction. They can then proceed to C.P. Ummer Road to reach Pullepady Bridge and then turn left to take T.P. Bund Road and the side-road along St. Francis Church to reach Kaloor-Kadavanthra Road.

Vehicles from Vypeen and Mulavukadu area, including two-wheelers, autorickshaws, light motor vehicles and goods vehicles can take the Chathiath Road immediately after leaving the Goshree Bridge to reach Pachalam Junction and turn left to reach Kattunkal Temple and take Pottakuzhy Road to go towards Kaloor, Palarivattom and Edappally.

Vehicles going toward Ernakulam Town (north) railway station should take Chittoor Road-St. Benedict Road from Kacheripadi. On their way back from the railway station, the vehicles should take road in front of Specialist's Hospital to reach Paramara Road and reach Banerji Road. Autorickshaws and two-wheelers should go towards Chittoor Road along St. Benedict Road.

Long distance KSRTC buses and other vehicles going further north towards Kalamassery and Aluva side from High Court Junction should take the Vallarpadom Container Terminal Road, said a press release issued by the City Police.
