Shortage of high-end hotel rooms in the growing port city of Kochi is all set to get relieved in a big way with the opening of Crowne Plaza Kochi on Saturday.

The five-star hotel, owned by the KGA Hotels and Resorts and to be operated by Inter-Continental Hotels Group (IHG), located on the National Highway Bypass at Kundannoor, has 269 guestrooms, including 14 suites, with a spectacular view of the backwaters and the city. The hotel also has 24,000 square feet of meetings and conference space with 14 rooms, according to K.G. Abraham, chairman, KGA Hotels and Resorts, Kochi.
