The Kochi city police have arrested three persons wanted in connection with several criminal cases across the State.
The arrested have been identified as Biju, 35, of Thammanam, Purushan, 58, of Changanassery, and Kannappan alias Aanakannan of Maravanthuruth.
Biju had been arrested by the police for robbing a pedestrian in 2002, but he went into hiding after getting bail. Acting on a tip-off, a police team arrested him on Saturday from Ernakulam. Biju has assault cases pending in Palarivattom and Central stations as well.
Purushan, who had been on the run for more than 20 years, had stolen home appliances from a house where he worked as a servant in 1995. He also has pickpocketing charges pending against him in various stations in Kottayam.
The third person, Kannappan, had been wanted by the police in connection with a theft case since 2003. Though arrested earlier, he later went into hiding. Kannappan has several assault and theft cases pending in Kozhikode Kasaba, Thalayolaparambu, Vaikom, Ernakulam north and Central stations.
