HC rejects yet another petition

June 11, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:46 am IST - KOCHI:

The Kerala High Court on Wednesday dismissed yet another petition challenging the election of Shashi Tharoor from the Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha constituency. The petition was dismissed by Justice P. Bhavadasan.

In his petition, K.R. Haridas, a voter in the constituency, alleged that Mr. Tharoor had convened a meeting of 60 pastors of the Pentecost community on April 5 at his residence and offered cash and other promises to them to influence voters.

Dismissing the petition, the court observed that the petition lacked necessary particulars and pleadings. — Special Correspondent
