Sudheeran’s clean chit to Vigilance chief

June 30, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:51 am IST - Kochi:

Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee president V.M. Sudheeran has said that Vigilance Director Vinson M. Paul was well within his rights to take a decision on whether or not to charge sheet the accused in the bar bribery case.

“Nobody has doubted his [Mr. Paul’s] credibility. While everyone has accepted the stance of the Vigilance in respect of the case, any decision taken by the agency will be subject to judicial scrutiny,” he told the media here on Monday.

On by-election

On the by-election for Aruvikkara Assembly constituency, he exuded confidence that United Democratic Front (UDF) candidate K.S. Sabarinadhan was sure to win with a clear majority. While all ministers campaigned for the UDF candidate, there was no use of illicit means used to solicit votes.
