Sreedharan Pillai criticises Keralites’ silence on Sri Lanka blasts

Keralites maintained a culpable silence on the mass killings that took place on Easter day in Sri Lanka, said BJP State president P.S. Sreedharan Pillai.

Speaking at a meeting organised by the BJP Minority Morcha here on Wednesday Mr. Pillai said the State should not be allowed to be converted into a haven for extremist elements.

There were attempts in the State to prevent the Modi government from returning to power. However, the Modi government will treat everyone equally. The increase in the vote share of the BJP was an indication of the affinity of people of the State towards the party, he said.

A Mass was held at the Infant Jesus Church for those who were killed in Sri Lanka.

K.S. Radhakrishnan, former PSC chairman, Morcha State president Noble Mathew, and N.K. Mohandas were among those who attended.
