The G. Sivaraman commission inquiring into the solar scam took objection to KPCC president V.M. Sudheeran’s request to remove his name from the list of witnesses.

If Mr. Sudheeran had nothing to depose before the commission, he should have made a statement to that effect by appearing before the panel or move the request through a lawyer, Mr. Sivaraman observed.

Mr. Sudheeran was scheduled to depose before the panel on Friday.

The Congress leader informed the panel that he was not in possession of any evidence regarding the controversial subject.

The commission directed the KPCC president to file a statement on June 4.
