P.C. George deposes before panel

Former Government Chief Whip P.C. George on Tuesday deposed before the Justice G. Sivarajan Commission inquiring into the solar scam cases that the accused in the scam had used the office of Chief Minister Ommen Chandy to boost their credibility and collect money from various investors.

He told the commission that the money collected by the accused had been given to various politicians. When Saritha S. Nair, an accused, was arrested, the police did not seize money from her house. He also said that money for settlement of various cheating cases had been raised by the political leaders close to Saritha.
