Police raid recruitment agency; three held

June 06, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:37 am IST - KOCHI:

In what could possibly be yet another recruitment scam, the city police on Friday raided a recruitment agency on suspicion of illegal operations and arrested three persons.

The arrested were identified as Shinoy Philip, 36, and Prasanth, 34, both from Kottayam and Ebin Abraham, 30, of Irumpanam near Tripunithura. The PBS recruitment agency at Kadavanthra was sealed by the police on finding that it was being operated without mandatory licence. “The agency neither had the clearance of the Protector of Emigrants nor of the ministry concerned,” the police said. – Staff Reporter
