Kuwait-bound person fails to produce valid documents

Central Industrial and Security Force (CISF) personnel on Wednesday detected $5000, worth approximately ₹3.51 lakh, from the pocket of a passenger named Ponnusamy Doraisamy, bound for Kuwait, at the Cochin international airport.

The foreign currency was detected when the passenger was undergoing the security check at 3.15 a.m. He could not produce any valid document related to the cash. He was handed over to Customs officials for further legal action, said a statement by Assistant Inspector General Hemendra Singh, public relations officer for the CISF.
