The district administration has completed formalities to receive nomination papers for the local body elections from Wednesday. The election orders will be released at 11 a.m. at all administrative offices after which nominations will be received. The district has 226 centres to submit the nomination papers.
Mission Indradhanush to begin today
Mission Indradhanush, a Union Health Ministry initiative for total immunisation, will begin here on Wednesday as part of the second phase of the programme for medium focus area. Pregnant mothers and children in the age group of 0 to 5 years who are partially immunised or non-immunised children will be targeted by the Health authorities. The authorities have identified 534 pregnant women, 1,833 children in the 0-2 years category and 1,763 in the 2-5 years category to be part of the programme.
Ration card proofs
The ration card proof copies will be available from Wednesday at ration shops in the district. The card owners are to collect them and return the signed copy by October 15 with corrections if any.
