Minister for Agriculture V.S. Sunil Kumar has said that Njattuvela markets will be launched in all panchyats this year.

He was inaugurating the Green Hut Eco Shop at Elamkunnappuzha grama panchayat. Besides making available planting materials, eco shops will help farmers market their produce. .

96 p.c. vegetables edible

The Minister also said around 96% of vegetables produced in the State have been found safe to eat, and that the Agriculture Department will reach seedlings to more than one crore households ahead of Onam.
