New building for homoeo hospital

A new building to house the District Homoeopathy Hospital was inaugurated by K. Babu, Minister for Excise on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the government had already opened 140 homoeo dispensaries across the State. He said the government aims to open an ayurveda and homoeo dispensary in each panchayat.

Hibi Eden, MLA, utilised the development funds of Rs. 50 lakh to build the two-storey space for the district panchayat homoeopathy hospital at Pullepady.

It was earlier planned to move the hospital to a different location because of the lack of facilities in the old building.

Mr. Eden, presiding over the function, said that yoga training as part of the Ayush programme will begin at the hospital soon.

K. V. Thomas, MP, inaugurated the public meeting. Mayor Tony Chammany and district panchayat president Eldose Kunnappilly were among those present on the occasion.
