Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has expressed satisfaction over the preparations for the National Games in the district while exhorting authorities concerned to pay attention to the minutest of details by taking decisions without delay.
Mr. Chandy also gave additional powers to the District Collector to take prompt decisions with regard to the organising of the Games at a review meeting held at the Kochi airport’s golf club. The next meeting will be held on January 27. Excise Minister K. Babu, who presided over the meeting, briefed the Chief Minister about the arrangements. The district will host six events spread over five venues.
