For supervision of vulnerable booths

As many as 42 micro observers have been issued appointment orders for supervision of vulnerable polling booths in the Chalakudy Lok Sabha constituency.

They will report at the distribution centres of the Assembly constituency segment concerned on April 22 at 8 a.m. However, those who have been included in the initial list but not in the final list approved by the general observer need not report on that day, the District Collector said.

Meanwhile, the Chief Electoral Officer has issued directions on the distribution of photo-affixed voter slips by booth-level officers to all District Election Officers and Electoral Registration Officers. This is in compliance with the Election Commission order that all voters should be issued photo voter slips ahead of the polls.
