High Court calls for shortlist of priests

: A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court on Tuesday directed the Travancore Devaswom Board to produce the shortlist of priests selected for the draw of lots for a new melsanthi at the Sabarimala temple.

The Bench of Justice Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan and Justice Anu Sivaraman issued the directive when a writ petition filed by Subramnian Ebranthary against the selection of melsanthi came up for hearing.

According to the petitioner, as many as 14 priests had been shortlisted. — Special Correspondent
