The city police on Saturday arrested a seventh person on charge of stabbing a man to death at Ponekkara here.
Suresh, 39, of Edappally, was arrested here following an interrogation. Police had on Friday arrested six others on charge of murdering a man named P.C. Harikumar around 8.40 p.m. on Wednesday at Ponekkara. Suresh is the third accused in the case.
He was allegedly part of the group of seven men who attacked Harikumar at Ponekkara. The attack was allegedly motivated by a row between Harikumar and first accused Biju. The deceased had reportedly told Biju off for making advances towards a woman who lived on rent at Harikumar’s house.
