Man held on charge of cheating job aspirants

The North Paravur police have arrested a 32-year-old man on charge of cheating over a hundred people after promising them jobs abroad.

Santosh Sasidharan, a native of Karunagappally, was arrested by the police based on a complaint filed by a group of job aspirants who were duped by him. “Each of them had given him ₹50,000 to ₹1 lakh. The accused, who went into hiding, was finally nabbed from Pathanamthitta with the help of Konni Police,” the police said.

After his arrest, the police have started receiving more complaints against him.

The accused was produced before a local court which remanded him in judicial custody.
