KWA offers to plug leaky pipes

The Kerala Water Authority has promised to plug the leakages in water supply pipelines along the metro route within three days.

The Authority officials announced the decision at a meeting convened by Kochi Mayor Tony Chammany to discuss the issue of water leakages in supply lines.

The officials of the Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) and the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) have offered to carry out the metro rail works without affecting the water supply to areas in the city.

The civic authorities including Deputy Mayor B. Bhadra, Authority Executive Engineer Jessy Jose, KMRL General Manager A Subramaniya Aiyar and DMRC civil engineer G. Keshavachandran were among those who attended the meeting.
