Kochi to host Food Summit

It aims at motivating food processing industry and food start-ups

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) - Kerala will hold a Food Summit in Kochi on December 18 and 19. The summit will focus on the theme Made in Kerala, Going Global.

The objective of the summit is to encourage and motivate food processing industry and food start-ups in the country to work at competitive global standards, said a press release.

The summit will offer a platform to start-ups to pitch their ideas to venture capitalists. It will help young entrepreneurs, especially women entrepreneurs from bakery and catering industry, identify opportunities.

Delegations from Africa and Germany will attend the summit, which will be inaugurated by Minister for Agriculture V.S. Sunil Kumar.
