Khadi products worth ₹100 cr to be sold

Renovated Khadi emporium opened

The government plans to sell Khadi products worth ₹100 crore this year through the changes proposed in the Khadi sector, said Industries Minister A.C. Moideen.

The Minister was speaking after inaugurating the renovated Hantex emporium at Boat Jetty. The government proposes to extend the free school uniform project to students up to Class 4 of aided schools, he said.

Hibi Eden, MLA, presided over the function. Mayor Soumini Jain, K.V. P. Krishnakumar, tax appeals standing committee chairman, Kochi Corporation; Hantex president Peringamala Vijayan, vice president Vandannoor Sadasivan, and managing director K.S. Anilkumar were among those who attended the function.
