The  Pathanamthitta  Jail Superintendent  K.Viswanatha Kurup on Wednesday deposed before the Justice G.Sivarajan Commission inquiring into the  solar scam cases that  Saritha S. Nair, accused in the cases had handed over the alleged letter to her counsel in his presence.

He said that she had sought his permission for handing over certain notes relating to her cases. He said that he did not go over the notes as prison rules restrained the  Jail Superintendent  from  looking into the case related notes in the possession of a remanded accused. The counsel of the accused told him that the notes contained 21 pages. They were handed over on July 24, 2014.When Saritha Nair was brought to the jail from Perumbavoor, the women wardens who frisked her had  found the letter on her person. However, they were returned as she told the wardens that they related to her cases. The warden who had searched her body when she was released from jail also told him that they found the so called notes in her possession.

He said Saritha Nair had sought his permission for handing over notes relating to her cases.
