I-T conducts raids at CMRL

The Income Tax department on Friday raided the office of Cochin Minerals and Rutile Ltd (CMRL) here and searched the residences of its board of directors on charges of tax evasion.

Officials said that simultaneous raids were held at the company’s office in Aluva, factory at Edayar and the residences of S.N. Sasidharan Kartha, managing director and the board of directors. The search was held at 15 places across the district, they said.
