A special police team probing the engineering admissions fraud raided the houses of the Principal of Adusumalli College in Secunderabad and recovered certificates of 197 students.

“We raided the houses owned by Prasad, the Principal of the college, located at Hyderabad and Secunderabad and seized the documents. The person, however, is absconding,” officials said.

As part of the probe, the sleuths also inspected the college and found that it did not have basic facilities, including laboratories and toilets. They also collected statements of two teachers, who were found not qualified for the profession.

The case pertains to the arrest of Jayesh J. Kumar (37) and his wife Rari, who allegedly cheated over 200 students of Rs. 10 crore by promising college admissions.
