: Ending weeks of uncertainty, the Mahatma Gandhi university authorities have decided to issue the original grade sheets of the final-year undergraduate examinations written by students under the private registration category.
The Hindu had reported on September 28 (MG University leaves private registration students in the lurch) that the inordinate delay had affected the future of the private registration candidates.
Senior officials confirmed that the orders have been issued to release the original grade sheets. “The format of the grade sheet is ready. It will be issued soon,” they said. Students and their parents had a harrowing time waiting for the varsity authorities to issue the original grade sheets more than a month after declaring the results of their final-year undergraduate courses.
The tense students had pleaded that they will lose the admission for higher studies unless the grade sheets were issued immediately. The varsity had earlier goofed up the results of the final-year undergraduate students in the private registration mode after serious errors crept into the mark lists. Failed students were declared eligible for higher studies owing to major mix-up in the tabulation of results.
