Good show by city schools in CBSE Class XII exams

Navy Children School student regional topper in Commerce

Most schools in the city have fared well in the Class XII examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the results of which were announced on Saturday.

Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara, won, 133 distinctions. The number of distinctions in other schools run by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan are: Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Girinagar 110; Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Eroor 108; Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya, Thrikkakara 77; Bhavan’s Adarsha Vidyalaya, Kakkanad 103; Bhavan’s Newsprint Vidyalaya, Velloor, 54; and Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram, Thiruvamkulam 68.

Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vaduthala, won 110 distinctions while Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Thripunithura, secured 90 distinctions. Global Public School secured 78 distinctions while The Choice School won 158 distinctions. Gregorian Public School secured 92 distinctions. Vidyodaya School, Thevakkal, won 129 distinctions. Rajagiri Public School, Kalamassery, won 140 distinctions while Christu Jayanthi Public School secured 195 distinctions.

Navy Children School, Kochi, got 112 distinctions. The school also had a regional topper in the State in Commerce with Maehal Barthwal scoring 99.2% aggregate.

The number of distinctions in other schools are: Nalanda Public School 21; Sree Narayana Vidyapeetam Public School, Thripunithura, 24; Greets Public School 25; The Delta Study School, Fort Kochi 41; Nava Nirman Public School, Vazhakkala, 34; Marthoma Public School 56; Toc H Public School, Vyttila, 107; Sree Narayana Public School, Poothotta, 24; Cochin Refinery School 84; Campion School 34; St. Paul’s International School, Kalamassery 23; SBOA Public Senior Secondary School, South Chittoor, 54; and Assisi Vidyaniketan Public School, Kakkanad, 123.

In Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Kannamaly, all 44 students passed with first class. In Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir, 50% of the students got distinction and in NSS Higher Secondary School, Thripunithura, 27% of the students got distinction.

The Ernakulam region of Kendriya Vidyalaya has a pass percentage of 99.91.
