GAIL starts paying crop loss compensation

Gas Authority of India Ltd (GAIL) has begun handing over of crop compensation (compensation for the crop loss suffered) to landowners, whose land will be acquired under the Right of Use (ROU) acquisition for laying pipeline.

Cheque handed over

A cheque for Rs.3,77,520 was handed over to Benny Alex, a beneficiary in Poyya village of Kodungalloor in Thrissur was handed over by Deputy Collector M. Anil Kumar, a press release issued by GAIL India said.

Pipeline route

GAIL is laying gas pipeline from Kochi to Kootanad, Bangalore and Mangalore, passing through Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
