The Ernakulam District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) has launched a city tour titled Seat in Coach.

The guided tour programme that began with a bunch of children from orphanages touring the city, was inaugurated by District Collector K. Mohammed Y. Safirulla. The air-conditioned bus with push-back seats and WiFi connectivity will cover locales like Durbar Hall Art Gallery, Mangalavanam Bird Sanctuary, Kerala History Museum at Edappally, Hill Palace at Thripunithura, Kerala Folklore Museum at Thevara, Dutch Palace at Mattancherry, Indo-Portuguese Museum in Fort Kochi, and the Vallarpadam Basilica Church. Food is included in the package.

In the long run, tour packages may be offered for destinations in neighbouring districts.
