: The vexed issue of rehabilitation of four more families in connection with land acquisition for the SmartCity project in Kochi was resolved on Tuesday.
The resolution came at a meeting chaired by district collector M.G. Rajamanickam at the collectorate. Decks have now been cleared for the acquisition of 19 cents belonging to these families who have now been allotted six cents each within Kakkanad village itself.
The acquisition had been delayed owing to the uncertainties over rehabilitation and disputes over land value.
