Cusat releases B.Tech. final year results

Varsity records pass percentage of 58.39

Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat) has published the results of B.Tech VIII (Final) semester examinations conducted in April-May 2019. The overall pass percentage is 58.39, said a press release here.

The toppers of various branches are: Sara Ranjit, Computer Science and Engineering (5,227 marks); Rameesa Koorikkatil, Information Technology (5,020 marks); Sachinan Shahi, Electrical Engineering (5,129 marks); Abhishek Kushwaha, Electronics and Communications Engineering (5,042 marks); Alok Ranjan, Safety and Fire Engineering (5,072 marks); S. Moses Gladson, Mechanical Engineering (5,279 marks), and Anjali, Civil Engineering (5,184 marks).

The last dates for submitting applications for scrutiny and revaluation at the respective examination centres are May 28 and June 3 respectively, the varsity said.

The results were published a month earlier than the previous years. “The university takes pride in the fact that the examinations are scheduled and conducted in time, as per the Examination Calendar published by the university,” the release said.

These are the results of the first final examination after delinking recognised colleges from the university. This year, as many as 61 well-reputed companies visited the campus for recruitment, and 430 students got placements through campus selection.

Degree certificates are made available online at the National Academic Depository. Students can register with the depository and download digitally signed copies of the certificates. Hard copies will be issued within a month of declaration of results.

A provision for applying for official transcripts of marks online was implemented recently, and fee remittance has been made online.

Vice Chancellor K.N. Madhusoodanan, Pro Vice Chancellor P.G. Sankaran, syndicate member S.M. Sunoj, Registrar K. Ajitha, controller of examinations Sunil K. Narayanankutty, SOE Principal M.R. Radhakrishna Panicker, and CUCEK Principal N. Sunilkumar participated in the press conference convened in this regard.

The results are available on www.cusat.ac.in.
