Consumerfed contractors’ protest

June 17, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:45 am IST - KOCHI:

Former MP Sebastian Paul said the State government had lost its credibility because it had failed to make timely payment to Consumerfed’s supply contractors from outside the State. He was inaugurating a protest meeting organised by the Consumer Federation Suppliers’ Association before the headquarters of the Federation in the city on Tuesday. The protest action began around 10.30 a. m. and the protestors tried to keep the Federation employees confined to their office even after the office hours. The police had to intervene and use force that led to altercations.
