Conference on trends in data mining

The Department of Computer Applications, Baselios Paulose II Catholicos College, Piravom, will organise a national conference on the recent trends in data mining on December 10 and 11.

The UGC-sponsored seminar is being organised in collaboration with The Institution of Engineers, Kochi, said a release here.

The conference is meant to create awareness about the recent application domains and explain how data mining can contribute towards providing new insights and efficiency in the field of knowledge discovery.

Participants at the conference will also get a chance to interact with industry experts and academics working in the area.

Ten of the selected papers will be published online in the International Journal of Data Mining. Best two papers will appear in the printed version of the journal, the press release added.
