Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate a public meeting organised by the Left Democratic Front here on October 29 against alleged attempts by the Bharatiya Janata Party and United Democratic Front to topple the Left Front government in the State.

A release issued by the Ernakulam district committee of the Left Front here said that the meet would begin at 4 p.m. at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium. The BJP and the United Democratic Front were trying to divide society by igniting communal tension in the name of the Supreme Court verdict permitting women of all ages to enter the Ayyappa temple at Sabarimala.

Besides Mr. Vijayan, the meeting will witness the participation of Kanam Rajendran, CPI State secretary; and Ministers Mathew T. Thomas, and Ramachandran Kadannappally, according to the release.
