The winter schedule of the Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) to come into effect from this Sunday would feature more services than the current summer schedule.
The winter schedule will be in force till March 26. The number of weekly services has increased to 1,094 compared to 1,064 in the summer schedule.
International services have increased from 533 to 590 while there is a dip in domestic services from 531 to 504. Air India will operate the most number of services out of Kochi airport during the winter schedule. The national carrier will have 43 each arrivals and departures. Close on the heels is Jet Airways with 84 services.
During the winter schedule, there will be 51 weekly services to Dubai, 35 each to Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. Among domestic services, the most connected will be Mumbai with 86 weekly services followed by 77 to Delhi and 73 to Bengaluru.
Air Asia will operate more services to Kuala Lumpur and Silk Airlines to Singapore while Saudi Airlines will also improve its connectivity during this winter. Air Asia will operate two daily services while Silk Air will operate one service each for five days a week and two services on Fridays and Sundays.
