The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday filed a charge sheet against two Southern Railway employees at the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate Court for allegedly demanding bribe from a youth for arranging him a job. The accused were identified as Rasik P R, 30, a trollyman at Chalakudy railway station and S Gopikrishna, 46, Chief commercial clerk, both leaders of the Southern Railway Mazdoor Union (SRMU).

As per the charge sheet, Divisional Railway Manager (Commercial), Thiruvananthapuram in 2013 came out with a notice inviting application for the post of licensed coolie porter at seven railway stations. Following this, the complainant, Lenin K Devassy approached Riyas, another railway employee, who in turn, introduced the youth to Rasik.
