The Crime Branch (CB) probing the actor assault case has recovered what is suspected to be the original copy of a letter allegedly written by prime accused ‘Pulsar’ Suni to the eighth accused Dileep in 2018.
Suni’s mother had reportedly released a copy of the said letter earlier this year. The letter recovered by the CB, however, does not have any name or signature on it, it is learnt.
Sources said the CB had collected handwriting sample of Suni lodged in Viyyur Central Jail to confirm whether the letter was written by him. It will be sent for forensic examination.
In the letter dated May 5, 2018, the writer said that he would declare his guilt before the court and accept the punishment. The letter was allegedly handed over to Sajith, a cellmate of Suni, to be give to Dileep. But this did not happen. The CB had seized the letter from Sajith’s house in Thrissur.
Meanwhile, a car reportedly belonging to Dileep had also been seized. This was the vehicle in which director P. Balachandrakumar had claimed that he had travelled along with Suni and Dileep’s brother Anoop from the actor’s house in Aluva.
