The Dharmadom police have registered a case against 13 persons associated with the controversial student magazine of the Government Brennen College here for showing disrespect to the national flag.

Those against whom the case has been registered include Athul Ramesan, student editor of the magazine, and K.V. Sudhakaran, its staff editor. The case was registered based on a complaint filed by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists.

The college authorities had removed the pages containing controversial material following protest from Congress-led Kerala Students’ Union (KSU) and the ABVP.

On Friday, KSU activists staged a march in the college campus demanding stern action against the SFI activists responsible for publication of the controversial magazine.
