Car carrying employees attacked

An unidentified person attacked a car carrying employees of the Nitta Gelatin India Limited at Infopark here around midnight on Friday.

Police said the attacker acted on an impulse when the car got in his way.

The incident occurred around midnight when a few employees of the company were leaving after the night shift in a cab. The car reportedly turned onto the right side of the road near Infopark as construction work was going on along the left.

The angry motorcyclist allegedly smashed his helmet through one of the windows of the vehicle and fled. Police are on the lookout for the attacker.

Crack detected

A small crack was detected on the railway track near Thirunettoor on Saturday morning. The crack was detected by a railway employee checking the tracks. He informed Railway officials immediately and mechanics arrived on the spot to replace the faulty portion.

Bus rams wall

A private bus crashed into a wall near Vadakkekkota junction at Tripunithura on Saturday evening. The driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the wall, inuring the conductor and 14 passengers. All the injured were taken to a private hospital in the city.

Two people have been admitted to the hospital and the rest were discharged after primary care.
