The 21st Kochi International Book Festival (KIBF) concluded on Sunday. More than 300 publishers and around 200 writers participated in the 10-day festival, which included the four-day Kochi Literature Festival.

Among the highlights of the festival was participation by writers from northeastern States. A Children’s Book Festival was also part of the 10-day event.

According to KIBF, sales this year had gone up compared to previous years.

In a discussion on Indian Thoughts and Children’s Literature (Bharatiya Darshanavum Balasahityavum), writer Sippy Pallippuram said student-teacher relationship had become a thing of the past as teachers do not seem to have even the right to scold pupils for the latter’s mistakes.

On the concluding day, a discussion on K.P. Sudheera’s book Anuraga Paragangal was held in which Sulochana Nalappat, Sheeba Ameer, and Ibrahim Kutty participated.

BJP leader P.K. Krishnadas released a book on UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath titled A Monk who Became Chief Minister .
